JE T’ADORE JOIE DE VIVRE MERCI BEAUCOUP

Recently I was commissioned to design and create two new Collections of product for Waddesdon Manor, Buckinghamshire. The first Collection features the exquisite Sèvres porcelain dessert service that was made for Count Razumovsky in 1767 and includes three luxury triple milled soaps, hand poured scented candles made with 100% pure essential oils , fine cotton co-ordinating make up and wash bags and a wallet of assorted notecards for keeping in touch. With a nod to the elegance of France the scents are titled in french -naturellement!

FLIGHTS OF FANCY

The second Collection celebrates the fabulous exotic Aviary birds at Waddesdon. Built in the late 19th century the Aviary has been wonderfully restored and now plays an important role in conservation breeding projects of endangered species. Around a third of the birds here are at risk of extinction largely due to deforestation and the illegal trade in caged birds in areas like Indonesia. I spent a wonderful day inside the Aviary meeting the conservation staff and getting to know the individual birds whilst photographing and sketching them. The range includes hardback notebooks, greeting cards, mini notecards, pin badges, mugs, tote bags, organic linen tea towels, beautiful hand embroidered decorations and of course some bespoke Aviary chocolate eggs.
